Our Services
Birth Support
Our fulfilling journey begins with that first phone call - the moment our connection blossoms into a cherished friendship. Your trust in me as a doula is most important, and my greatest strength lies in my listening skills and ability to truly understand your unique journey. Whether you're embarking on the beautiful path of motherhood for the first time, navigating the hopes of a VBAC, or feeling uncertain about the different options available, I am dedicated to being a part of your support system. Throughout your pregnancy, I will provide childbirth education, help create your birth plan, and teach effective communication to prevent any potential birth trauma. When labor arrives, I use a hands-on approach, using massage therapy and counter pressure to alleviate discomfort. This approach has shown to significantly decrease pain during labor. Guiding you through various laboring positions and practicing essential breathing techniques, we work together to ease the journey of your baby through the cervix at a more manageable pace. I am your constant companion, providing both comfort and support, ensuring that your birthing experience unfolds just as you've envisioned.
Postpartum Support
Approximately 20% of women are reported to experience a postpartum disease or mental health condition. However, this statistic, based on self-reporting, likely underestimates the actual rate. Postpartum care shouldn't be a luxury, but a necessity. In today's society, women have lost their traditional support system and embraced a "we can do it all" attitude. While it's true that women are capable of juggling numerous responsibilities, it's equally important to acknowledge the value of community support. As a doula, I dedicate myself to supporting mothers as they embrace their new role. I prioritize your well-being by ensuring you have ample rest, nourishment, and hydration. My commitment extends beyond the immediate postpartum period; I provide continuous text and phone support. Beyond just providing care, I aim to establish a lasting friendship, offering ongoing support whenever it's needed, whether it's a month or a year after our initial connection.
Breastfeeding Support
Becoming a mother for the first time I knew I wanted to breastfeed. Having my first baby during covid, made this task difficult. Lacking the guidance of family members and facing unhelpful nurses at the hospital, I turned to online mom groups for advice, only to feel overwhelmed by conflicting information. Struggling with overproduction and a lack of support, I dove into the world of lactation consulting, doulas, and childbirth education. Through this journey, I successfully learned how to breastfeed and developed a gentle, personalized approach to supporting mothers. Whether through hands-on assistance or verbal guidance, I thoroughly assess feeding sessions, the well-being of both mother and baby, offering different techniques, guidance and referrals to IBCLCs if needed.
